      Definition of brush motor and brushless motor

       Brush motor: a brush motor is a rotating motor which contains brush device and converts electrical energy into mechanical energy (motor) or mechanical energy into electrical energy (generator). Brush motor is the basis of all motors, it has the characteristics of fast start, timely braking, smooth speed regulation in a wide range, relatively simple control circuit and so on.

       Brushless motor: brushless DC motor is a typical mechatronics product, which is composed of motor body and driver. Because the brushless DC motor is operated by self-control, it will not add another starting winding on the rotor like the synchronous motor with heavy load starting under variable frequency speed regulation, and it will not produce oscillation and out of step when the load changes suddenly. At present, the permanent magnet of medium and small capacity brushless DC motor mostly uses Nd-Fe-B material with high magnetic energy product. Therefore, the volume of rare earth permanent magnet brushless motor is one frame number smaller than that of three-phase asynchronous motor with the same capacity.

The brushless DC motor, in the process of using, saves two or three years to replace the carbon brush trouble. However, in the process of controlling brushless motor, high precision is required. Moreover, the price of brushless motor controller is also higher. In contrast, the brush toothless DC motor, although to replace the carbon brush, but replace the carbon brush is very easy, and the motor control is relatively simple, the motor runs smoothly, high safety factor.

       5. Brush motor means that the motor is a direct current input, and its controller can adjust speed only by providing it with large or small current; The brushless motor is actually a three-phase AC motor. The controller converts the DC into three-phase AC, and according to the sensor Hall element in the motor, the motor can operate normally. Directly speaking, the brushless motor has longer life, stronger start and less power than the brush motor, but the cost of the controller is higher than the brush controller. At present, the current brushless controller, brush has been basically eliminated.
